The story of Jul
Julien Mari began recording in his bedroom in Marseille and broke through in 2013. From Dans ma parano onward, his cadence, expressive Auto-Tune, and self-made production created an instantly identifiable language.
By founding D’Or et de Platine, Jul maintained an exceptional release pace and a direct relationship with listeners. He became central to French rap while bringing Marseille artists together on collective projects such as 13’Organisé.
