A musical key describes the harmonic center of a track, such as C major or A minor. MyBeatz examines the harmonic content of your audio and compares its dominant notes with major and minor profiles. Use the estimate as a starting point for vocals, melodies and sample selection.
The tool does not publish your audio or add it to the marketplace. The excerpt is removed after processing. Analysis is free, with rate limits to keep the service available.
BPM describes the speed of the pulse. Key concerns notes and harmonic relationships. Two tracks can share a tempo while having very different keys, so both measurements are useful.
Camelot represents keys with a number from 1 to 12 and a letter: A for minor, B for major. It is a practical reference when planning harmonic transitions, but listening remains essential.
A track may change key, share notes with a relative key or contain mainly percussion. The tool estimates the key of the analyzed excerpt; it does not guarantee one key for the entire song.
